Fleshgod Apocalypse Post Video For 'Pathfinder'!

Fleshgod Apocalypse's Labyrinth is a pretty phenomenal album, and it made my best of list for last years albums. It's a great continuation of the sound they established with Agony, with a heart around the story of the Minotaur. The band has posted a video for the song 'Pathfinder' and int he video they deal with the themes of the story they are telling on the album. It's a well shot video and makes for an entertaining few minutes. Well worth your time.

Humanity's Last Breath Post 'Human Swarm' Lyric Video!

Humanity's Last Breath are one of the best up and coming deathcore acts out there in my opinion. Their self titled album is incredibly strong and filled to the brim with memorable riffs and fantastic grooves. The band has released a lyric video for the song 'Human Swarm', and while some may bat an eye at 'lyric video' and move on, you'd be doing yourself a disservice in this case. If there were to be a standard for the level of quality lyric videos should strive for, this video (more over Igor Omodei of Uneven Structure) sets the bar.

New Dethklok Song!

This came as a great surprise as I didn't realize Dethklok was working on a special which will apparently include an album! Metalocalypse is doing a 'Klok Opera' titled Doomstar Requiem, which as a huge fan of the song 'Dethharmonic' I am really excited for.

New Moth Music Video For 'Dissolved'!

If you haven't checked out Moth's debut LP Endlessly In Motion, you're missing out on one of the best release this year. If you need convincing, well today is your day. Moth have released a video for the song 'Dissolved' from said album and you should definitely give it a view.

Fleshgod Apocalypse Announce 'Labyrinth'!

Technical death metal powerhouse Fleshgod Apocalypse have announced their next album, entitled Labyrinth! If you are unfamiliar with the band, lets just say these guys are one of the most extreme bands out there. Their drummer plays some where around 250-300 bpm on almost every song. It's awesome.

New Revocation Single!

Revocation has released the first single from their upcoming self titled album! The song is called 'The Hive' and as you might expect it's pretty damn killer. I won't delay  you any more, you need to hear this song.

Norma Jean Announced New Album Info!

Sorry the album cover isn't in the greatest quality, there doesn't seem to be a good upload of it anywhere at the moment, but regardless, there's good news! Norma Jean, who have been in the studio for a while officialyl announced details about their new upcoming album, entitled Wrongdoers.

There's A New Karnivool Song As Well!

Karnivool are releasing a new album this year, and all the prog fans should be rejoicing. Karnivool's blend of prog rock/metal with a heavy emphasis on atmosphere and creating a tremendous sound has worked wonder for them on their first two albums, the second of which, Sound Awake, is one of the best albums I've ever heard. The band did release a track recently, entitled 'The Refusal' but there was a bit of confusion surrounding it as some claimed it was a B-side track, and the production on the track wasn't up to par with their other work. According to Metalsucks that track is a part of the new album though. Hopefully what we heard was just an unmastered version of the track.

New Harms Way Song!

Sorry I dissappeared for a bit there, I went on a really nice vacation. But anyhow, I'm back and I've got some news to catch up on here!

Firstly one of my new favorite hardcore bands, Harm's Way, released a new track and announced a new EP entitled Blinded.

Another New August Burns Red Song!

August Burns Red's upcoming release Rescue & Restore is one of my most anticipated albums coming out this year. From what we've heard so far it looks like they are continuing with the more progressive metalcore sound they have begun to develop with Leveler. This new song 'Spirit Breaker' has a nice symphonic opening which is followed by a great wall of sound.

Band Of The Week: Strychnia

Despite having immense trouble spelling their name without checking it a few times, Strychnia is a great up and coming brutal death metal band, in the vein of Dying Fetus, Aborted and more. The band has had one full length album released so far entitled The Anatomy Of Execution, which you can stream or buy over at their bandcamp right now. It's worth the listen for sure. They are also about to release a brand new EP, Reanimated Monstrosity set to release May 14th.

New Black Dahlia Murder Song!

The Black Dahlia Murder have released both the album art and a single from their upcoming album Everblack. This track, titled 'Into The Everblack', isn't mind blowingly new for the bands style, but it's got a cool symphonic build up to quite an awesome solo. I hopped onto the BDM train a bit late with Ritual being the first album of theirs that really caught my attention. If this track is any indication, Everblack should be a favorite album of mine this year. Unfortuantely we have to wait until June 11th for it to release. I imagine we'll get another single before that time comes.

Check Out The New Killswitch Engage Song!

Killswitch Engage released a new song today from their upcoming album Disarm The Descent called 'The New Awakening'! The song is anything entirely new from the band, but it's definitely a great song. Overall Jesse is continuing his form of vocals, but trying to drop hints of clean vocals here and there to help fill the void from Howard Jones, but honestly his cleans are no where near Jones' clean vocals, he makes a good attempt though.

Oceano Post New Song 'Slow Murder'!

It's been a crazy ride for Oceano since their last album, but the band is back with a new record and today they've given us a brand new song to hold us over. The song is titled 'Slow Murder' and it'll be on the album Incisions, which doesn't yet have a release date. The song itself is pretty great though. They've added some djentier tones to the guitars, which is not exactly surprising, but the guitar work feels overall like a bit of an improvement. The pseudo clean vocals make take a little growing for me though.

The Chariot Announce 'One Wing'!

Josh Scogin announced recently in an interview that The Chariot have about wrapped up the writing process for their follow up to 2010's Long Live! The new album is set to be called One Wing and should be out around August some time.

As I Lay Dying - Decas

It doesn't feel like it's been 10 years since AILD's first release Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes. Unfortunately I can't say I've been a fan for ten years being that I didn't discover them until Frail Words Collapse two years later, but that's really besides the point.

In The Midst Of Lions Post 2nd Studio Update!

The first studio update felt a little thrown together, but this video feels a little better overall. You get a little taste of the new album, and I have to say it sounds like it's going to be the best album from them yet. I'm very excited, and if you like Deathcore, you should be too. This will definitely be a day one purchase for me.
