Becoming The Archetype Post Another New Song!
Becoming The Archetype have posted the second single from their upcoming album I Am. The new song is titled 'The Eyes Of The Storm'. Chris does appear to be doing a great job taking over for Jason Wisdom, fans of Jason's vocals shouldn't be disappointed, and I feel that Chris' vocals have more death metal influence.

Defining Human - Defining Human
Metal is a genre that really loves their labels. From heavy
metal to slamming brutal death metal, we’ve got labels for bands that almost
seem unnecessary at times even. Defining Human are a band who are most easily
placed into the label of progressive deathcore, but I feel it doesn’t do
justice to the heavy influences they take from the likes of say technical death
metal. Yes the clean vocals of metalcore
are there, and the classic deathcore chugs are effortlessly found, but there
are portions of the album that could easily be classified as Technical Death
Metal, and they work really well with the progressive portions of the album.

Oceano Covered Jimi Hendrix!
Sometime last year the people behind the game Homefront, which didn't fare too fantastically in the video game world, despite being a pretty good game, got a bunch of bands including As I Lay Dying, The Acacia Strain, Periphery, and of course Oceano together to record covers of popular war songs, mostly by older metal bands. Apparently though, Oceano had recorded two covers, one of which never made it to the album, and on top of that the studio and the band never got paid for it by Earache. So in response to this, the studio released the song for free.

Vader Announce On A New Album And Tour!
Vader, who released Welcome To The Morbid Reich last year, have plans to write and records a new album tentatively titled Straight To Hell! There's not a whole lot of news surrounding the announcement yet, but word of a new Vader album is always good news. Also the band plans to play their third album Back To The Blind from 1997 in it's entirety in a special tour titled Back To The Black!
Very exciting stuff indeed! Straight To Hell will likely come sometime next year considering the new tour shcedule and such, so it's a bit early, but the news is still awesome.
I Am War Outlive You All Stream!
I Am War, a new collaboration between Bleeding Through frontman Brandan Schieppati and Atreyu frontman Alex Varkatzas are set to release their debut effort Outlive You All on August 28th, but if you're interested to hear how this album sounds you can listen to the whole thing via Noisecreep right now.

Oh Hey, Dethalbum III Details Are Out!
So Brendan Smalls finished his Galatikon side project, season 4 of Metalocalypse has ended, and the long awaited Dethalbum III will be coming soon! The above album cover is pretty awesome, and the tracklisting goes as follows:
Becoming The Archetype 'The Timebender' Lyric Video!
It doesn't seem to have made the rounds on the internet, but Becoming The Archetype did a short 'unlock the song' campaign where once there were a combined amount of tweets, facebook shares, pintrest posts, and such the new song 'The Timebender' would become available. Well thankfully that happened and the song is up!

Blackguard Are Writing As Well!
Sister Sin 'End Of The Line' Lyric Video!
I don't know a whole lot about the band Sister Sin, other than the fact that they are a band riding a fine line between hard rick and Heavy Metal, and that they sound similar to Avenged Sevenfold, only the voice seems more fitting to Sister Sins vocalist considering that she is a woman. I wouldn't say this song is enough to really get me to like the band a whole lot, but it's far from the worst thing I've heard in a while.

Volumes Are Writing!
Volumes, who made their debut last year with Via have begun writing a followup album! Via was quite an awesome album, but I'm wondering how things will change since they lost their clean vocalist, who granted only recorded clean vocals for a small portion of the album, so things might not change all that much sound wise.

A Million Dead Birds Laughing - Xen
Fusion genres have always been an exciting, yet hesitant
thing for me. For one the thought of fusing two or more genres brings on plenty
of opportunities and have crafted some fantastic albums such as Meshuggah’s
workings with Jazz elements, or Vildhjarta’s perfect combination of ambient
music and extreme death metal, but as with most anything, there’s plenty of
opportunity to make something that just doesn’t blend well together or is
outright just bad. Thankfully that is not the case with A Million Dead Birds
Laughing, and while I’m still trying to figure out if I like their name or not,
I definitely enjoy their music.

Cytotoxin Signed To Unique Leader Records!
Cytotoxin is a German technical death metal band I've just discovered thanks to a suggestion via facebook, and it would appear that the band is set to release their second album Radiophobia on November 6th of this year! The band also got signed to Unique Leader Records with a multi album deal, and are now label mates with Gorod, Rings Of Saturn and Fallujah! So hopefully they'll get on some good tours!
Radiophobia is themed after the events of Chernobyl so it should make for an interesting album lyrically speaking.
Check out the album preview:
The Acacia Strain Studio Update!
The Acacia Strain hae posted a studio update for their upcoming album Death Is The Only Mortal. The band decided to self produce this album, so guitarist Daniel Laskiewicz is handling most of the production. Check out the video:
The band has set a release date of October 9th, so hopefully we'll get some more info or a new song soon!

Victory Records Signs Tear Out The Heart!
Tear Out The Heart were recently signed to Victory Records and will be releasing a debut album early next year. The band has an EP titled Hell Is Empty out now and so far what I gathered is they ride a fine line between metalcore and deathcore and the influence from the likes of The Devil Wears Prada is pretty clear, howveer the production is solid and the vocals are pretty interesting so I'm interested to see how their debut album turns out.
